While Sheryl is taking some well-deserved time off, I wanted to express my deep gratitude for all of your efforts during this unusual year. Over the past 9 months, we have asked every person here to work differently; whether that was working from your home or out of your truck, you took up the challenge and made it work.
It seems crazy to consider in hindsight how much work has been accomplished with all the uncertainty back in March and April. But thanks to your efforts to conduct the work safely, we ended up having a banner construction year. These accomplishments and your service to our community have very real impacts on our friends, family and neighbors who travel throughout Washtenaw County.
Ultimately, despite all the ups and downs 2020 presented to us, I am immensely grateful for you. I think we have learned that as individuals and as an organization, we can do more than we ever thought possible.
I hope you have a merry Christmas and safe holiday season with your family.
