WHERE: The following roads in Salem and Superior Townships:
- Gotfredson Road between Plymouth Road and N. Territorial Road
- 6 Mile Road between Pontiac Trail and Chubb Road
WHY: Preventative maintenance – fog seal
BACKGROUND: Starting Tuesday, September 15, 2020, WCRC will apply a fog seal on the following roads in Salem and Superior Townships:
- Gotfredson Road between Plymouth Road and N. Territorial Road
- 6 Mile Road between Pontiac Trail and Chubb Road
Fog seal is another thin layer of liquid asphalt placed on top of a recent chip seal that helps to seal in the chips and further protect the pavement.
This work will be conducted with a combination of daytime road closures and lane restrictions to allow the fog seal to cure. WCRC will also finish its fog seal work on Pontiac Trail.
This work is expected to be completed by Wednesday, September 16. However, all dates are tentative and subject to change due to weather conditions.
