Daytime Road Closure: McGregor Rd, Ridge Rd, Prospect Rd (Superior, Ypsilanti Twps)

WHERE: – McGregor Rd between William Ave and Tyler Rd in Ypsilanti Township

– Ridge Rd between US-12 and the county line in Superior, Ypsilanti Townships

– Prospect Rd between Clark Rd and Vreeland Rd in Superior Township

WHY: Preventative maintenance – chip seal

BACKGROUND: Starting on Monday, June 7, 2021, the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) will begin preventative maintenance chip seal projects on McGregor Rd between William Ave and Tyler Rd in Ypsilanti Township, Ridge Rd between US-12 and the county line in Superior, Ypsilanti Townships and Prospect Rd between Clark Rd and Vreeland Rd in Superior Township. The roads will reopen at the end of each day and remain open until work resumes the following morning.

The work on these roads is expected to be completed by the end of the week. However, all dates are tentative and subject to change due to weather conditions.

Once the work is completed, drivers are advised to lower their speeds to 35 mph while the stone settles.

WCRC will return to this area in a few weeks to apply a fog seal on top of the chip seal and place permanent pavement markings.
