WHY: Unpaved road improvements
BACKGROUND: On Monday, March 18, 2024, the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) closed Joy Rd between Whitmore Lake Rd and Earhart Rd in Ann Arbor & Northfield Townships during daytime hours to perform unpaved road improvements.
The road will re-open at the end of each workday and remain open until work resumes the following morning. Access will be maintained for emergency services, school buses and any residents who live or work within the project limits.
The road improvements are expected to take approximately six weeks. However, all dates are tentative and subject to change due to weather conditions.
