WHERE: The following roads in Ann Arbor, Northfield and Salem Townships:
- Pontiac Trail between M-14 and N. Territorial Road
- Earhart Road between US-23 and Plymouth Road
WHY: Preventative maintenance – fog seal
BACKGROUND: Starting Monday, September 14, 2020, WCRC will apply a fog seal on the following roads in Ann Arbor, Northfield and Salem Townships:
- Pontiac Trail between M-14 and N. Territorial Road
- Earhart Road between US-23 and Plymouth Road
Fog seal is another thin layer of liquid asphalt placed on top of a recent chip seal that helps to seal in the chips and further protect the pavement.
This work will be conducted with a combination of daytime road closures and lane restrictions to allow the fog seal to cure. WCRC will also finish its fog seal work on Sutton Road between Pontiac Trail and N. Territorial Road.
This work is expected to be completed by Tuesday, September 15. However, all dates are tentative and subject to change due to weather conditions.
