Daytime Road Closure: Currie Road (Salem Twp)

WHEN: Tuesday, August 6, 2019

WHERE: Currie Road between Six Mile Road and Eight Mile Road in Salem Township

WHY: Preventative maintenance – chip seal

BACKGROUND: On Tuesday, August 6, 2019, the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) will chip seal Currie Road between Six Mile Road and Eight Mile Road in Salem Township.

WCRC will also finish the chip seal work remaining on Curtis Road between Plymouth Road and 6 Mile Road in Salem and Superior Townships.

The road improvements are expected to take approximately one day. However, all dates are tentative and subject to change due to weather conditions.

Once the project is complete, drivers are advised to lower their speeds to 35 mph while the stone settles.
