The Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) reopened the Maple Road (Foster) Bridge, over the Huron River between Huron River Drive and Country Club Road in Ann Arbor Township. This comes after Anlaan Corporation, bridge contractor on behalf of WCRC, removed the failed post-tensioning system during the week of September 15.
The Maple Rd (Foster) Bridge has a new weight limit of 5 Tons to promote structural integrity of the bridge and motorist safety. The weight limit accommodates most passenger SUVs, and light-duty pick-up trucks.
We want to thank everyone for their patience during the emergency bridge closure.
If you have any questions concerning this project, please contact Aaron Berkholz, Assistant Director of Engineering, at (734) 327- 6648 or [email protected].
