WHERE: Staebler Rd over Honey Creek, between Park Rd and Avalon Way in Scio Township
WHY: Structural damage
BACKGROUND: On Monday, June 28, 2021, the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) closed the Staebler Rd bridge over Honey Creek due to structural damage. The bridge is located between Park Rd and Avalon Way in Scio Township. Unfortunately, the bridge was recently struck by a vehicle causing damage that requires this closure.
The bridge will remain closed until the damage can be assessed and funding can be identified for the necessary repairs.
DETOUR: The posted detour for this bridge closure will utilize Park Rd, Zeeb Rd and Jackson Rd. Click here for the detour map.
