WHAT: BRIDGE CLOSURE
WHEN: Effective Monday, October 2, 2017
WHERE: Macon Road over the North Branch of Macon Creek between Braun Road and Willow Road in Saline Township
WHY: Structural Deterioration
BACKGROUND: On Monday, October 2, 2017, the Washtenaw County Road Commission will CLOSE Macon Road over the North Branch of Macon Creek, due to extensive structural deterioration. The bridge is located between Braun Road and Willow Road in Section 22 of Saline Township. The recommended closure of this structure was determined during a recent bridge inspection.
The posted DETOUR for this bridge closure will include Braun Road, Jordan Road and Willow Road. The road will be closed by using concrete barrier and barricades. A schedule to replace the bridge and reopen Macon Road at this location is undetermined at this time.
