WHY: Structural deterioration of the bridge
BACKGROUND: Effective Wednesday, August 28, 2019, the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) will close the bridge on Hitchingham Road over Stony Creek between Talladay Road and Rosbolt Road in Augusta Township due to structural deterioration of the bridge superstructure.
A schedule to replace the bridge and reopen Hitchingham Road at this location is undetermined at this time.
