WHERE: Maple (Foster) Rd Bridge over the Huron River in Ann Arbor Township
WHY: Bridge rehabilitation
BACKGROUND: On Monday, October 10, 2022, the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) will close the Maple (Foster) Rd Bridge over the Huron River for bridge rehabilitation. The bridge is located between Huron River Dr and the intersection of N. Maple Rd and Foster Rd in Ann Arbor Township.
This closure is the second phase of a bridge rehabilitation project that began earlier this summer. WCRC will complete improvements on the bridge approaches and install a dry hydrant for emergency responders.
The bridge will be closed to ALL traffic during rehabilitation – including river traffic and non-motorized users. ALL traffic will be required to follow the posted detour or seek an alternate route.
