Good afternoon,
It’s been a challenging week with extreme heat and severe storms affecting many of us. Despite these conditions, WCRC has continued to rise to the occasion, ensuring that we maintain a safe road network for the public. Your dedication and resilience are truly commendable.
As we approach the long Labor Day weekend, let’s take a moment to reflect on the significance of this holiday. Labor Day, established over 120 years ago, honors the American worker and celebrates the vital contributions made by each of us.
I’m also pleased to share that WCRC has earned a spot on the County Road Association Self-Insurance Fund’s Risk Control Honor Roll. This recognition reflects our outstanding safety record, with our Modification Factor (MOD factor) for the 2024-2025 year standing at an impressive 0.654. Achieving a MOD factor below 1 is an exceptional accomplishment and a testament to our collective commitment to safety.
To show our appreciation, all WCRC staff will have the day off with pay on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, the day before Thanksgiving.
A few reminders:
- Regular business hours (7 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.) resume on Thursday, September 5.
- If you plan to attend the WCRC Salt Barn/Tailgate event, please R.S.V.P. using this link or QR code by Thursday, September 5.
Enjoy the long weekend and take some time to relax and recharge. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication!
Matt
