Good afternoon,
Wow! This week has flown by and thanks to the holiday, next week will be even shorter. Welcome to summer hours.
Over the past few board meetings, including this week, our Board has started approving local road agreements with each township. Thanks to these local partnerships, the county road millage and state/federal funds, we have another huge construction season planned. In fact, our first resurfacing project of the year officially started today on Moon Rd in York Township. Operations staff will be conducting prep work for the next few days and paving is expected to begin once the asphalt plants reopen (hopefully the week of April 18).
I know construction season is an exciting time here at WCRC, but it is also an exhausting one. Please take extra caution as we transition to this new season. It’s been a while since any of us have seen orange barrels, especially the traveling public.
I hope that you all enjoy your first 3-day weekend of the season!
Take care and stay safe,
Sheryl
