April 16, 2020
Good Afternoon,
The good news today is that there is very little to share! Other than the potential for winter weather in mid-April, we continue to do business as we have for the past few weeks and are starting to prepare for when we can resume more traditional activities. If this trend continues, I may skip a few daily updates but please know that if anything significant happens, I will be sure to let you know.
So, as we enter the weekend, I would like to share a story from another co-worker, Chris Quinter, IT systems administrator, who is surviving the shelter-in-place order with his wife, Kaitlin, in their new home. Chris shared…
“A few years ago, Kailin and I were wandering through Meijer and thought a puzzle might be fun some night. Kaitlin picked out a 750 piece puzzle, just as I came around the corner with a 2,000 piece. We spent about a month on the 750 piece and put the 2000 piece in the closet, likely forever. After 3 moves, we still have the 2,000 piece and figured we should at least give it a try. The picture below is after a week, and so far more progress is being made on our beer stash to keep our sanity….”
I think that Chris and Kaitlin are doing what many of us are doing, digging out old puzzles, games and projects that have been shelved for quite some time. Whether we complete these activities or find other things to occupy our time (which reminds us why we shelved them in the first place), we are still spending time together with our loved ones which is wonderful.
Please take some time this weekend to relax and enjoy yourself.
As always, take care and stay safe!
Sheryl
