On October 5th, the Sharon Valley Rd Bridge over the River Raisin, between Sharon Hollow Rd and Meyers Rd in Sharon Township, was closed by the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC). The contractor has begun tree removal operations and is beginning to mobilize construction equipment.
Next Steps:
- Tree removals will continue during the week of October 5th
- Construction equipment will arrive in preparation for the bridge removal
- Demolition of the existing bridge will begin the week of October 12th
Sharon Valley Rd remains closed to all traffic; please follow the detour signs. WCRC will provide ongoing updates.
