On April 23, 2026, the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) completed the installation of vertical height restriction signage on both road approaches to the Maple Rd (Foster) Bridge between Huron River Dr and Country Club Rd in Ann Arbor Township. This work included the advanced signage indicating the 9’-0” height restriction as well as the overhead signage at the bridge approach.
The new signage will reinforce weight limits and act as a physical height barrier. The goal is to further deter oversized or overweight vehicles toward safer alternate routes.
