Work Stoppage Impacts Textile Road Project

By September 4, 2018Project Updates

As of 7 a.m. this morning, many projects on county roads in Washtenaw County, including most of the work on Textile Road in Pittsfield Township, are on hold due to a labor dispute between the Michigan Infrastructure Transportation Association (MITA) and the Operating Engineer’s Local 324. The Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) is not a party to these negotiations.

This work stoppage halts all paving, and some earthwork and underground work done by contractors on county roads. Some bridge work may also be impacted, depending on the contractor.

The railroad work on Textile Road west of Marton Road will continue as planned.

Please contact Mark McCulloch, project manager, if you have any questions – [email protected] or (734) 327-6679.
