WHEN: Wednesday, August 16, 2017 through October 20, 2017
WHERE: Jackson Road, Zeeb Road, Wagner Road, Liberty Road, Baker Road in
Scio Township
WHY: Concrete Joint Repairs
BACKGROUND: On Wednesday, August 16, 2017, a contractor for the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) began work on Jackson Road to repair concrete joints. The focus of the work for Jackson Road will be Myrtle Avenue east of Zeeb Road (Larry’s Mower Shop) to Jackson Industrial Drive west of Zeeb Road (Lowe’s Home Improvement). Concrete repair work is projected to be on-going along this stretch of Jackson Road until September 11, 2017. This date is weather dependent.
As part of their contract, the Contractor will also be repairing concrete joints on the following road segments:
- Zeeb Road Jackson Road south to Park Road
- Wagner Road Jackson Road south to Liberty Road
- Liberty Road 270 feet west of Wagner Road to 1,400 feet east of Wagner Road
- Baker Road at Jackson Road intersection
Repair work will be on-going through the end of October 2017.
Lane closures and traffic restrictions will be in effect for all road segments while repairs are occurring. Lane closures will create significant traffic delays, especially during the peak commute hours. The Road Commission thanks you in advance for your patience while we improve the various roadways listed in the media advisory.
