BACKGROUND: On Tuesday, March 5, 2024, the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) re-opened Stony Creek Rd between Textile Rd and Whittaker Rd in Ypsilanti Township.

WHY: Forestry
BACKGROUND: On Monday, March 4, 2024, a contractor for the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) will close Stony Creek Rd between Textile Rd and Whittaker Rd in Ypsilanti Township to perform forestry work for the upcoming bridge replacement project.
The forestry work is expected to take two days. However, all dates are tentative and subject to change due to weather conditions.

BACKGROUND: On Friday, February 16, 2024, DTE Gas re-opened Stony Creek Rd, over Paint Creek, between Textile Rd and Whittaker Rd in Ypsilanti Township.

During the 2024 construction season, the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) plans to replace the Stony Creek Rd Bridge, over Paint Creek, between Textile Rd and Whittaker Rd in Ypsilanti Township. The bridge will be closed to all traffic during construction and a detour will be posted.

WHY: The Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) will hold a virtual project information meeting regarding the planned Bridge Replacement project on Stony Creek Rd in Ypsilanti Township.
During construction, Stony Creek Rd between Textile Rd and Whittaker Rd will be closed to ALL traffic and a detour will be posted. The closure is expected to be in place for approximately 12 weeks, weather pending.
The virtual public meeting will be held via Zoom on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at 12 p.m. There will be a brief presentation followed by time for questions from the audience. A recording of the meeting will be posted to the project web page after the meeting.
