On July 14, 2026, The Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) began the culvert replacement project on Nollar Rd between N. Territorial Rd and 5 Mile Rd in Northfield Township. The project is now complete, and the road has been re-opened to traffic.
WCRC was able to perform this project thanks to a Stormwater Grant in partnership with the Washtenaw County Water Resources Commissioner’s Office and the Township.

WHY: Culvert replacement
BACKGROUND: On Monday, July 13, 2026, the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) will close Nollar Rd between N. Territorial Rd and 5 Mile Rd in Northfield Township for a culvert replacement.
The work is expected to take approximately eight days to complete. However, all dates are tentative and subject to change due to weather conditions.
The road will be closed to all through traffic. WCRC encourages drivers to use the detour.

WHY: Forestry
BACKGROUND: On Monday, March 23, 2026, the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) will be performing forestry work on Nollar Rd between N. Territorial Rd and 5 Mile Rd in Northfield Township.
The road will not be closed to traffic, but delays are likely due to intermittent lane restrictions. WCRC encourages motorists, emergency services and others to use an alternate route.
The forestry work is expected to take approximately five days to complete. However, all dates are tentative and subject to change due to weather conditions.
