On Monday, August 29, 2016, the Washtenaw County Road Commission reopened Austin Road between Ernst Road and Schneider Road in Bridgewater Township.
Work completed during the construction project included the replacement of the concrete span bridge with a new concrete box culvert. Minor items of work remain to be completed, but the road will be open to traffic during that time.
The Washtenaw County Road Commission offers our sincere thanks to the area residents, farmers, motorists, postal services, emergency services and school districts who displayed a great deal of patience during the closure of Austin Road.
