WHERE: Werkner Road from a point approximately 1700’ south of Island Lake Road to Stofer Road approximately 800’ north of Island Lake Road in Lyndon Township
WHY: Installation of High Friction Surface
BACKGROUND: On Wednesday, April 23, 2025, Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) will have lane restrictions on Werkner Road and Stofer Road at Island Lake Road in Lyndon Township for installation of High Friction Surface.
The roads will not be closed to traffic, but delays are likely due to lane restrictions. WCRC encourages motorists, emergency services and others to use an alternate route.
This work is expected to take approximately three days to complete. However, all dates are tentative and subject to change due to weather conditions.
