WHERE: Dexter-Chelsea Road between Parker Road and Island Lake Road AND Island Lake Road between Dexter-Chelsea Road and Dexter-Pinckney Road
WHY: Permit work – Sanitary sewer maintenance
BACKGROUND: On Tuesday, October 13, 2020, M&K, a contractor for the City of Dexter, will begin sanitary sewer maintenance on Dexter-Chelsea Road between Parker Road and Island Lake Road in Scio Township.
Once they have completed this section, they will move to Island Lake Road between Dexter-Chelsea Road and Dexter-Pinckney Road in Webster Township.
The roads will remain open to traffic, but delays are expected due to lane restrictions. Work near the Dexter Viaduct is scheduled to occur between 4 and 6 a.m. to help reduce congestion.
This project should be completed by Thursday, October 15. However, all dates are tentative and subject to change due to weather conditions.
