July 25: Projects Update & Salt Barn open House

Good morning,

Our operations crews have kept busy this week wrapping up our seal coat program and continuing with culvert replacements throughout the county. We have also had a handful of unpaved road resurfacing projects taking place in Freedom and Webster Townships. Thanks for your hard work in improving and maintaining our county road system!

This week, concrete removal continued on the Jackson Rd Concrete Rehabilitation project in Scio Township. Concrete curb and gutter were completed for the Whittaker Rd at Willis Rd Roundabout in Augusta Township. Asphalt paving for our resurfacing project on 7 Mile Rd in Salem Township was completed yesterday and the Border-to-Broder Trail in Scio Township is almost ready to be open to the public as paving was recently completed. We will be excited to share more soon.

Looking ahead to this fall, WCRC is hosting an open house/tailgate for the grand opening of the Main Yard salt barn. This event will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the new material storage building. The event is exclusively for WCRC staff and their families and it is not open to the public. We plan to have fun games for children and adults, catered BBQ food, our equipment on display, and more! If you are interested in attending, please use the QR code below to RSVP to the event. We really hope to see you there!

Have a great Thursday,

Matt
