WHY: Installation of High Friction Surface
BACKGROUND: Expect lane restrictions on Werkner Rd and Stofer Rd at Island Lake Rd in Lyndon Township on Tuesday, October 6, 2026.
The Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) will be installing a High Friction Surface. The roads will not be closed to traffic, but delays are likely due to lane restrictions. WCRC encourages motorists, emergency services and others to use an alternate route.
The road work will take approximately four weeks to complete. However, all dates are tentative and subject to change due to weather conditions.
