WHY: Permit work-utility work
BACKGROUND: On Tuesday, September 1, 2026, Universal Contracting on behalf of DTE Electric will be performing utility work on at the locations below in Northfield Township.
- Whitmore Lake Rd between Barton North Dr and W Northfield Church Rd
- Hellner Rd, just north of Joy Rd
- Stein Rd at Whitmore Lake Rd
- Joy Rd between Hellner Rd and Whitmore Lake Rd
- E Northfield Church Rd, just east of US-23
The road will not be closed to traffic, but delays are likely due to intermittent lane restrictions.
The utility work is expected to take approximately two weeks. However, all dates are tentative and subject to change due to weather conditions.
