WHY: DTE Gas line replacement project
BACKGROUND: On Wednesday, January 5, 2022, DTE Gas will begin a gas line replacement project on Grove Rd between Harris Rd and Harry St AND Harris Rd between Grove Rd and Share Ave in Ypsilanti Township.
Grove Rd and Harris Rd will not be closed to traffic, but delays are likely due to daytime lane closures. These lane closures are expected to last approximately 2 weeks. WCRC encourages motorists, emergency services and others to use an alternate route.
This is the beginning of a large DTE gas line replacement project in the area. Additional lane closures and lane restrictions on various roads are expected throughout the year. However, all dates are tentative and subject to change due to weather conditions.
Sidewalks at various locations will be closed during this project.
