Pedestrian tunnel installation in Washtenaw County begins on Monday

PROJECT: The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will be closing M-52 in each direction just north of the Green Lake Campground between Waterloo Road and North Territorial Road beginning Monday morning. MDOT has issued a permit to Washtenaw County Parks and Recreation to install a pedestrian tunnel under M-52.
TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS: Please follow posted detours. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes.
SAFETY BENEFITS: Closing the intersection during this type of work is necessary to provide the safest work area possible for crews and motorists.
ESSENTIAL WORK: This road construction project is an essential function. Transportation workers in the field follow Centers for Disease Control guidelines to limit their risk of getting sick.
