SIGNAL ELECTRICIAN
The Washtenaw County Road Commission is seeking candidates for the position of Signal Electrician. Employees in this job perform assistance and guidance to signal technicians with the installation, diagnosis, repair and maintenance of electrical and electronic signal equipment for the Traffic & Safety Section of the Engineering Department in accordance with Road Commission procedures and regulations. Other work includes the development and inspection of new traffic signal installations.
The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements: Graduation from an accredited electrical or electronic trade school or its equivalent. A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical traffic control devices. Possession of a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) class A. Possession of a journeyman electrician license. Possession of the International Municipal Signal Association (IMSA) Traffic Signal Certification Level II or the ability to obtain this certification within the 90 day probationary period.

HEAVY DUTY TRUCK MECHANIC
The Washtenaw County Road Commission is seeking qualified Heavy Duty Truck Mechanic candidates. Applicants require a Group A CDL w/N (tanker) endorsement; a High School Diploma or equivalent; and Michigan motor vehicle mechanic certificates in Heavy Duty Truck Engine Repair - Diesel & Heavy Duty Truck Brakes and Braking Systems
