WHERE: Intersection of Scio Church Rd and Wagner Road in Lodi/Scio Township
WHY: Roundabout Construction
BACKGROUND: On Monday, June 19, 2017, the Washtenaw County Road Commission will close the intersection of Scio Church Road and Wagner Road in Lodi/Scio Township to construct a single-lane roundabout.
The intersection will be closed to traffic throughout the course of the project. WCRC expects to complete the project and open the intersection to traffic in early August. However, please be advised that all dates are tentative and subject to change due to weather conditions.
All traffic will be directed to the posted DETOUR route which utilizes Zeeb Rd, Liberty Rd, Scio Ridge Rd, Oak Valley Dr, and Waters Road. A map can be viewed here. Traffic to and from properties internal to the closed section of the intersection will be provided. All others must find an alternative route.
The Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office will be monitoring the intersection and issuing citations as warranted to drivers who violate the road closure. As a reminder, traffic fines per state law are double for road construction violations. Additional points can also be placed on your driving record work zone infractions. Remember: disrespect road closed, fines will be imposed!
