On Tuesday, November 29, 2016, the Washtenaw County Road Commission will CLOSE the Dexter-Chelsea Road Culvert over the Four Mile Lake Drain, due to extensive structural deterioration. The culvert is located between Fletcher Road and Lima Center Mile Road in Section 9 of Lima Township. The recommended closure of this structure was determined during a recent culvert inspection.
The posted DETOUR for this culvert closure will include Parker Road, Jackson Road / Old US-12, M-52, Middle Street and McKinley Road. The road will be closed by using concrete barrier and barricades. A schedule to replace the culvert and reopen Dexter-Chelsea Road at this location is undetermined at this time.
