Concrete work was completed last week. The first layer of pavement will be laid the afternoon of Tuesday, July 25. Before the top course of asphalt is applied, ditches will be prepared for topsoil and seed, some signs will be installed, and paving will be suspended until driveways are prepped. Street lights will also likely be installed by Detroit Edison before the final layer of asphalt is applied.
We are looking to open the roundabout to traffic between Wednesday, August 2 and Saturday, August 5. The opening date will depend on weather and scheduling from subcontractors. We will not be able to open the intersection until all signs are erected and pavement markings are applied. We appreciate your patience as we wrap up construction!
