WHY: Completion of road improvement project
BACKGROUND: On Tuesday, May 17, 2022, the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) re-opened Scio Church Rd between Parker Rd and Zeeb Rd on the border of Lodi and Scio Townships after completing a road resurfacing project.

This week’s beautiful weather means we are making great progress on the Scio Church Rd resurfacing project on the border of Scio and Lodi Townships. The road remains closed to through traffic between Parker Rd and Zeeb Rd.
For residents who live or work within the project limits, as we pave today, May 11, we are only allowing local traffic to travel westbound.

WHY: Road resurfacing
BACKGROUND: On Monday, April 25, 2022, the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) will close Scio Church Rd between Parker Rd and Zeeb Rd on the border of Lodi and Scio Townships for a road resurfacing project.
In total, the road improvements are expected to take approximately 3 weeks to complete. However, all dates are tentative and subject to change due to weather conditions.
During construction, WCRC and the contractors will maintain access only for people who live, work, or own property within the project limits. All other traffic will be required to follow the posted detour or seek an alternate route.

WHY: Drainage improvements
BACKGROUND: Starting Monday, April 11, 2022, the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) will close Scio Church Rd between Parker Rd and Zeeb Rd on the border of Lodi and Scio Townships for drainage improvements. The work is being completed ahead of a road resurfacing project planned to begin later this year.
The road will reopen at the end of each day and remain open until work resumes the following morning. Access will be maintained for school buses, emergency responders and people who live or work within the work zone.
The drainage work is expected to take approximately two weeks to complete. However, all dates are tentative and subject to change due to weather conditions.

The road will reopen at the end of each day and remain open until work resumes the following morning.
