WHERE: – N. Territorial Rd between Mast Rd and US-23 in Webster and Northfield Townships

WHY: Preventative maintenance – chip seal

BACKGROUND: On Tuesday, July 5, 2022, the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) will continue a preventative maintenance chip seal project on N. Territorial Rd between Mast Rd and US-23 in Webster and Northfield Townships.

The road will not be closed, but delays are likely. WCRC encourages motorists, emergency services and others to use an alternate route. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route.

The work is expected to take approximately two days to complete. However, all dates are tentative and subject to change due to weather conditions.

7 Mile Rd between E. Shore Dr and Earhart Rd in Northfield Township

WHY: Preventative maintenance – chip seal

BACKGROUND: Starting on Monday, June 27, 2022, the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) will begin a preventative maintenance chip seal project on N. Territorial Rd between Mast Rd and the county line in Webster, Northfield and Salem Townships and 7 Mile Rd between E. Shore Dr and Earhart Rd in Northfield Township.

The roads will not be closed, but delays are likely. WCRC encourages motorists, emergency services and others to use an alternate route. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route.

WHY: Completion of culvert replacements and pavement repairs

BACKGROUND: On Friday, June 10, 2022, at approximately 8 p.m., the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) re-opened N. Territorial Rd between Webster Church Rd and Whitmore Lake Rd in Webster and Northfield Townships after replacing numerous crossroad culverts and repairing sections of pavement.

June 1, 2022 Road Closure: N. Territorial Rd (Webster, Northfield Twps)

WHEN: Starting Wednesday, June 8, 2022

WHERE: N. Territorial Rd between Webster Church Rd and Whitmore Lake Rd in Webster and Northfield Townships

WHY: Culvert replacements and pavement repair

BACKGROUND: On Wednesday, June 8, 2022, the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) will close N. Territorial Rd between Webster Church Rd and Whitmore Lake Rd in Webster and Northfield Townships to replace numerous crossroad culverts and repair sections of pavement. This work is being done ahead of a preventative maintenance chip seal project scheduled for later this summer.

The road closure is expected to last approximately 5 days. However, all dates are tentative and subject to change due to weather conditions.

During construction, WCRC and the contractors will maintain access only for people who live, work, or own property within the project limits. All other traffic will be required to follow the posted detour or seek an alternate route.
