The resurfacing project on Lohr Rd in Pittsfield Township is finally complete! Last week our contractor completed repaving the road, finished the remaining punch list items, and placed pavement markings. On Thursday, May 11, 2023, the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) reopened Lohr Rd to through traffic.

WHY: Completion of road resurfacing project

BACKGROUND:  On Thursday, May 11, 2023, the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) re-opened Lohr Rd between Textile Rd and Regents Park Ct in Pittsfield Township.

Good news folks! The Lohr Rd Resurfacing project in Pittsfield Township is progressing well.  

During the week of May 1, our contractor completed paving the road and placing shoulders. This week, crews are raising structure covers and finishing a few punch list items before placing pavement markings. Once pavement markings have been placed, the road will be open to traffic. We are hoping to reopen the road by the end of this week. However, all dates are tentative and subject to change based on weather conditions and contractor scheduling. The Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) will continue to send out updates as the project progresses.

Construction is moving along on the Lohr Rd resurfacing project between Textile Rd and Regents Park Ct in Pittsfield Township!

Last week, our contractor was able to start pulverizing the existing road surface. We expect pulverizing to be completed within a few days, and we are hoping to begin paving by the end of this week. However, all dates are tentative and subject to change based on weather conditions and contractor scheduling. WHERE: Lohr Rd between Textile Rd and Regents Park Ct in Pittsfield Township

WHY: Road resurfacing

BACKGROUND: On Monday, April 24, 2023, the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) will close Lohr Rd between Textile Rd and Regents Park Ct in Pittsfield Township to resurface the road.

The road improvements are expected to take approximately two weeks. However, all dates are tentative and subject to change due to weather conditions.

WCRC will maintain access only for residents and property owners who live, rent or own property within the project limits during construction.

Sidewalks and bike paths will not be affected by this work.

During construction, Lohr Rd will be closed to ALL traffic for approximately two weeks. However, all dates are tentative and subject to change based on weather conditions and contractor scheduling.

WHY: The Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) will hold a virtual project information meeting regarding the planned Lohr Rd Resurfacing Project, between Textile Rd and Regents Park Ct in Pittsfield Township.

During construction, Lohr Rd will be closed and a detour will be posted. The closure is expected to be in place for two weeks, weather pending.

The virtual public meeting will be held via Zoom on Thursday, April 13, 2023, at 11:30 a.m. There will be a brief presentation followed by time for questions from the audience. A recording of the meeting will be posted to the project web page after the meeting.
