WHEN: Starting Friday, March 19, 2021
WHERE: Geddes Rd between Gotfredson Rd and Ridge Rd in Superior Township
WHY: Tree removal
BACKGROUND: On Friday, March 19, 2021, a contractor for the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) will begin to remove selected trees near the Geddes Rd Bridge over Fowler Creek between Gotfredson Rd and Ridge Rd in Superior Township.
The road will not be closed to traffic, but delays are likely due to lane restrictions. WCRC encourages motorists, emergency services and others to use an alternate route.
The road improvements are expected to take approximately 1 day. However, all dates are tentative and subject to change due to weather conditions.

WHY: The Washtenaw County Road Commission will hold a virtual project information meeting to discuss the Geddes Rd Bridge Replacement Project that will take place later this year in Superior Township.
During this work, Geddes Rd between Gotfredson Rd and Ridge Rd will be closed to through traffic.
The virtual public meeting will be held via Zoom on Thursday, February 25, 2021, at noon. There will be a brief presentation followed by time for questions from the audience. A recording of the meeting will be posted to wcroads.org after the meeting ends.
