December 18, 2019 Construction to Begin in New Year
At this time, we expect construction on the Cavanaugh Lake Road Project in Sylvan Township to begin in early-January 2020. Our contractor continues to work with the railroad owner to receive the proper permissions needed to work within the railroad right-of-way.

A road closure advisory will be emailed and digital message boards will be placed near the project area in advance of the road closure.

November 1, 2019 Construction Open House: Cavanaugh Lk Rd (Sylvan Twp)

WHAT:  Cavanaugh Lake Road Bridge Construction Open House

WHEN: Thursday, November 14, 2019 from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.

WHERE: Chelsea District Library, 221 S. Main Street, Chelsea

WHY: The Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) will hold a construction open house on Thursday, November 14, 2019 from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. to provide information and answer questions about the project planned on Cavanaugh Lake Road in Sylvan Township this fall/winter.

WCRC will replace the bridge over Mill Creek between Deerfield Court and Campolina Road in Sylvan Township beginning in late November. The bridge will be closed to all traffic until February 2020.
