During the 2023 construction season, we plan to construct a roundabout at the intersection of Bemis Rd and Whittaker Rd in Augusta and Ypsilanti Townships. The exact start date of the construction is still yet to be determined. During construction, the intersection will be closed to ALL traffic for approximately 14 weeks.

WHY: The Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) will hold a virtual project information meeting regarding the planned Bemis Rd and Whittaker Rd Roundabout on the border of Augusta and Ypsilanti Townships, which will be constructed in 2023.
During construction, the intersection of Bemis Rd and Whittaker Rd will be closed to ALL traffic and a detour will be posted. The closure is expected to be in place for approximately 14 weeks, weather pending.
The virtual public meeting will be held via Zoom on Monday, November 14, 2022, at 11:30 a.m. There will be a brief presentation followed by time for questions from the audience. A recording of the meeting will be posted to the project web page after the meeting.
