WHY: Permit work: Amtrak
BACKGROUND: On Monday, July 25, 2022, Amtrak will close Superior Rd between Huron River Dr and Geddes Rd in Ypsilanti and Superior Townships for permit work. This work was originally planned for this week but has been delayed due to an issue Amtrak’s contractor experienced.
The work is expected to take approximately 1 week to complete. However, all dates are tentative and subject to change due to weather conditions.
The road will be closed to all through traffic. Access will be maintained only for residents and property owners who live, work or own property within the closure limits but NO traffic will be able to travel over the railroad tracks during the closure.
