Our contractors have been making steady progress on the reconstruction of Grove Road between Margarita Street and Harris Road in Ypsilanti Township. Right now they continue to be focused on building the new storm sewer system and removing damaged parts of the roadway and sidewalk.
Once the underground and removal work has been completed, new curb, sidewalk, asphalt pavement, guardrail, and pavement markings will be installed.
Grove Road remains closed between Margarita Street and Harris Road to facilitate this construction. Residents who live within the work zone will continue to have access to their homes, all other traffic must follow the posted detour or seek an alternate route.
