As of 7 a.m. this morning, many projects on county roads in Washtenaw County are on hold due to a labor dispute between the Michigan Infrastructure Transportation Association (MITA) and the Operating Engineer’s Local 324. The Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) is not a party to these negotiations.
This work stoppage halts all paving, and some earthwork and underground work done by contractors on county roads. Paving on Ellsworth Road in Pittsfield Township will be delayed until this labor dispute has ended.
