Textile Road – Temporary closure to all traffic

By June 26, 2018Uncategorized

We’re one week into our full closure of Textile Road and the project is progressing pretty well, utilities are working on relocating their facilities and our road contractor is working on the storm sewer.

Unfortunately, we have run into an unexpected drainage issue between Hines Drive and the Ann Arbor Railroad that we need to fix. This means that Textile Road will be closed to all traffic, including local traffic, tomorrow, Wednesday, June 27, between Hines Drive and the Ann Arbor Railroad. If you live or work between Hines Drive and the railroad crossing, you will still be able to access or your home or workplace but you will need to use side roads since no traffic can traverse this closure.

We hope to fix this issue sometime tomorrow and reopen this section to local traffic only, as long as the weather cooperates. If it rains tomorrow, we may not be able to make all the repairs until Thursday. We will send you another email update if we have to extend the closure.

As always, please contact Mark McCulloch, project manager if you have any questions – mccullochm@wcroads.org or (734) 327-6679.
