Right-of-Way Master Plan

Introduction

The Washtenaw County Right-of-Way was developed by the Inter-County Highway Commission (ICHC) of Southeastern Michigan, as authorized by the Inter-County Highway Commission Act of 1925, as amended by Act 195 of 1955. The ICHC plan was first presented to the ICHC Executive Committee in 1957, eventually to be adopted on January 4, 1967. Since that time, the ICHC has become defunct. The original ICHC Plan covered the plan for the road systems within Livingston, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, St. Clair, Washtenaw and Wayne Counties. That plan, which we are no updating for Washtenaw County, was recorded with each counties' Register of Deeds.
