About Design
The Design Section is primarily responsible for plans, specifications and contract documents for road and bridge projects in Washtenaw County. These items are necessary for contractors to bid WCRC road and bridge projects. The Design Section assures that all projects are developed in accordance with FHWA, MDOT Local Agency Programs and AASHTO requirements.
In addition, the Design Section is responsible for coordinating utility relocations associated with our projects, and securing all necessary permits.
The Design Section staff also maintain and update the Washtenaw County Road Map and Truck Operator’s Map.
