WHAT: Seasonal Weight Restrictions Imposed
WHEN: Effective 6 a.m. on Monday, February 19, 2018, until further notice

WHY: For the protection of the county road infrastructure
BACKGROUND: The Washtenaw County Road Commission will IMPOSE the Seasonal Weight Restrictions effective 6 a.m. on Monday, February 19, 2018. A subsequent media advisory will be issued when the Seasonal Weight Restrictions are suspended.
Most of the roadways in Washtenaw County are seasonally restricted. For more information about which roads are impacted, please refer to the current WCRC Truck Operator’s Map available on the Road Commission’s website: https://www.wcroads.org/Maps. Only Seasonal Transportation Permits will be issued during Seasonal Weight Restrictions, all other transportation permits are suspended. All permits must be submitted via https://www.oxcartpermits.com/.

This action is taken in accordance with the Washtenaw County Board of Road Commissioners’ Resolution No. RC09-052 and is pursuant to Act 300 of the Public Acts of 1949, as amended [MCL §257.722].
