WHERE: Geddes Road between LeForge Road and Prospect Road in Superior Township
WHY: Road Temporarily Reopened
BACKGROUND: The contractor for the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) will temporarily reopened Geddes Road between LeForge Road and Prospect Road on Wednesday, July 5 at approximately 5 pm after completing road resurfacing work.
Please be advised that this segment of Geddes Road will close again later this summer for the installation of a concrete box culvert. WCRC will issue a media advisory prior to the closure of Geddes Road. WCRC expects work to resume in mid-August, but all dates are tentative and subject to change due to weather conditions.
The scheduled concrete box culvert installation located just east of LeForge Road was delayed because DTE Gas failed to relocate an existing 24” gas main on the south side that is in conflict. Once DTE Gas has completed its work, WCRC’s Contractor will close Geddes Road again to complete the concrete box culvert installation.
