Road Reopening – Bemis Road

WHEN: Friday, January 12, 2018 at approximately 11 a.m.

WHERE: Bemis Road between Fosdick Road and Warner Road on the border of York and Pittsfield Townships.

WHY: Completion of temporary culvert repair

BACKGROUND: On Friday, January 12, 2018 at approximately 11 a.m., the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) will reopen Bemis Road on the border of York and Pittsfield Township between Fosdick Road and Warner Road.

The culvert at this location failed a routine inspection late in 2017 and through a partnership with Evan Pratt, the Washtenaw County Water Resources Commissioner; WCRC was able to expedite the repairs and reopen the road.

WCRC will be back at a later date to fix the culvert permanently.
