WHERE: Willis Road between Platt Road and Warner Road in York Township
WHY: Roadway Construction
BACKGROUND: On Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at approximately 6:00 am, the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) will CLOSE Willis Road between Platt Road and Warner Road to pulverize and resurface the road. WCRC the project to be complete and road reopened to traffic by Wednesday, May 17, but all dates are tentative and subject to change due to weather conditions.
All Willis Road traffic will be routed to the posted DETOUR route including Platt Rd, Bemis Rd, Moon Rd to Willis Rd. Local traffic to and from adjacent properties and businesses located within the closed section of Willis Road will be maintained.
This project is funded by the taxpayers of Washtenaw County via the four-year road and non-motorized path millage. Learn more: www.wcroads.org/millage.
