WHERE: Scio Church Road between Guenther Road and Steinbach Road in Lima and Freedom Townships
WHY: Culvert replacement project
BACKGROUND: On Monday, July 16, 2018, a contractor for the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) will CLOSE Scio Church Road between Guenther Road and Steinbach Road in Lima and Freedom Townships to replace the culvert over the Haas Drain.
The road will be closed to all traffic during the culvert replacement project. WCRC expects the work to be completed by the end of July 2018. However, please be advised that due to weather conditions and/or unexpected conditions encountered during construction, all dates are tentative and subject to change.
The posted DETOUR for this closure is Fletcher Road, Pleasant Lake Road and Parker Road. Local traffic to and from adjacent properties located within the closed section of Scio Church Road will be maintained, but no traffic will be able to cross the culvert location itself.
