Road Closure: Moon Road (York Twp)

WHERE: Moon Road between Willis Road and Bemis Road in York Township

WHY: Road resurfacing

BACKGROUND: On Thursday, November 8, 2018, the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) and its contractor will close Moon Road between Willis Road and Bemis Road in York Township for final paving.

The road is expected to reopen by the end of the day on Thursday, November 8. However, all dates are tentative and subject to change due to weather conditions and other circumstances.

Residents and property owners, who live internal to the project limits on Moon Road, will be provided access to their home or business but delays should be expected. The road will be closed to all through traffic.

The roundabout at Moon Road and Bemis Road will also be closed for a few hours on Thursday, November 8 to complete pavement markings.

DETOUR: The posted detour will be Willis Road to Platt Road to Michigan Avenue (U.S. 12).
